Known for his soulful electric and acoustic blues guitar, he is comfortable in a wide range of musical styles. His acoustic bottleneck playing draws deep from the southern delta blues tradition. His performances incorporate soul, blues, reggae and original music. His songwriting and regular performance schedule have garnered him critical and popular acclaim, and have won him an enduring Southwestern fan base. Chris began his performing for over thirty years, starting his professional career at the age of fifteen in his hometown of Taos, New Mexico. He has been a featured lead guitarist and vocalist with some of the New Mexico's premier musical acts including The Muttz, The RattleCats, Tommy Elskes, Soul Kitchen with Hillary Smith and most currently Chris Dracup: Funk of the West.
