Career Summary
Norm Van Brocklin was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1961 to 1974, finishing his career as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Over his thirteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 67-108-7. During his career he was a head coach for twelve seasons, first with the Minnesota Vikings. He led the Vikings for six seasons, compiling a record of 29-51-4. His next head coaching stint was with the Atlanta Falcons from 1969 to 1974, as he led the team to a 36-45-3 record. During his entire head coaching career, his two teams combined for a record of 65-96-7 across twelve seasons.
Brocklin was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971 after his playing career.
