Fr jerry orbos biography

Father Jerry Orbos was born in Bani, Pangasinan, on October 01, 1953. He is very devoted to his parents, whom he upholds in highest esteem.

He entered the Christ the King Mission Seminary and belonged to HS Batch ’70. He was ordained an SVD priest at the Divine Word Seminary, Tagaytay in 1980.

His priestly life started as a missionary to the Tingguian Missions in La Paz, Abra, at the Our Lady of Peace Parish for two years.

He was transferred to Urdaneta, Pangasinan, at the Divine Word College as Director of the Junior College, Seminary and Associate Program.

In 1984, he was sent to Korea as a missionary.

Back to the Philippines in 1989, he was assigned as the Vocation Director and Mission Promoter. The following year, his mission promotion work became his full time work.

From 1990 till 2013, a period of 23 years, he was the Director of the SVD Mission Office.

As mission director, his primary task was to promote mission awareness and to generate funds for the missionaries. H
